-HAMPTON, Va. - Mrs. Connie H. Brown, 88, formerly of Fort Mill, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998, at Sentara Nursing Center.
-The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Fort Mill, with the Rev. Ralph Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery.
-Mrs. Brown was the widow of Arthur Reed Brown. She was also preceded in death by her son, Arthur Reed Brown Jr. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Mill.
-Surviving are two daughters, Melda Tucker Smith of High Point, N.C., and Gerry Vaughan of Poquoson, Va.; her brother, Clyde Hargett of Monroe, N.C.; two sisters, Ann Watkins of Rock Hill and Bobbie Yarborough of Fort Mill; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
-The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Wolfe Funeral Home.
