Harris, 77, of Winnfield died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday in Schumpert Medical Center, Shreveport.
He was a graduate of Oklahoma University. He was employed by Gulf Oil Co. for 41 years as a geophysicist. He was a native of Cordell, Okla. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Harris of Winnfield.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be may to First United Methodist Church Capital Improvement Fund or the American Cancer Society.
