Was Superintendent in Production Department of Gypsy Oil Company
James E. Cummins, 53, a superintendent in the production department of the Gypsy Oil company, died in a hospital at La Mesa, Tex., Sunday following an operation. He had been with the company for nine years. His home was at Valley Center, but he was transferred to Hobbs, N. M., recently. He was ill at La Mesa for eight days.
Mr. Cummins is survived by his wife, Ella; three daughters, Alma Alberta, Irma and Blanche; and three sons, James, Paul and Burnham. He was a member of the Masonic order, the I. O. O. F. and S. B. A. Funeral services will be held at the Valley Center Christian church today at 2 p. m. Rev. W. H. Moore will officiate. Masonic services will be held at Maple Grove cemetery east of Valley Center. Flanagan-Bourman mortuary is in charge.
