Anna M. Affleck of King Phillip Rd., Pawtucket died Sunday June 1, 2008 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of Leonard F. Affleck. They had been married 52 years.
Mrs. Affleck was born in Cumberland, the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Butler) Geddes. She was a third grade teacher at the Cumberland Hill School in Cumberland for 38 years. Mrs. Affleck was a former member of the Pawtucket Country Club where she was an avid golfer and bridge player, a member of the Cumberland Teachers Association and the RI retired Teachers Association. She was a longtime communicant of St. Teresa's Church, Pawtucket.
Besides her husband Mrs. Affleck leaves a sister, Claire Geddes of Cumberland. She was the sister of the late Alice Draper, Mary Grace, and Helen Geddes, Agnes Teal, Ruth McLoughlin, George and Joseph Geddes.
The funeral for Mrs. Affleck will be Thursday at 10:00am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Ave., at 11:00am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Mrs. Affleck will be Wednesday 4-7pm in the funeral home.
