Florence Robinson, 75, of the Ashland area, died Monday in the King's Daughters' Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Elliott County, a daughter of the late Jesse and Nancy Kegley Waddell. Her husband, Sherman E. Robinson, died in 1978. She was a homemake and an Ashland area resident for 50 years. Surviving are a son, Dean Robinson of Catlettsburg; two daughters, Shirley Whitt of Catlettsburg and Gayle Conley of Ashland; three brothers, Paull Waddell of Morehead; Tennyson Waddell of Ashland and Alfred Waddell of Augusta; two sisters, Jewel Gillum of Catlettsburg and Ann Adams of Ashland; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11am Wednesday at the Steen Funeral Home - Ashland Chapel by the Rev. Edward Lynd. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
