SPRINGFIELD - Dorothy L. Buckman, 96, of Springfield, passed away at 4:18 p.m., on Monday, September 27, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born June 8, 1914 to William Rae and Emma Leona Kinney Robinson. She married Wesley J. "Wes" Buckman on October 31, 1936 and he preceded her in death on August 26, 1994. Her parents and one brother: William Reid Robinson also preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law: Betty Kern of Pleasant Plains and Mary Alice (Lawrence) O'Brien of Springfield; 1 brother-in-law Harold (Judy) Buckman of New Berlin and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a graduate of Springfield High School. She was an avid QVC fan. She was a homemaker and co-owner/operator of a Ben Franklin store in Clearwater, FL for 10 years.
Visitation: 11:00 am. - 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Swickard officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
