BAXTER -- Funeral services for Glener Mae Boyd, 93, of Baxter, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., March 11, from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. today, Tues., March 9, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Boyd died on Mon., March 8, 1999, at Masters Health Care Center.

She was born on March 5, 1906, in Putnam County to the late Elijah and Vernie Alexander Scarlett. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker.

Her family includes two sons, Alton and James Boyd, both of Baxter; a daughter, Kathleen Mahan of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Larry and Carlos Mahan, Michael Boyd, Katherine Lineberry, and Lisa Short; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, O.E. Boyd; a son, E. Lee Boyd Jr.; two brothers, Arlis and Carlen Scarlett; and three sisters, Dapho Piper, Ruby Sherrell, and Vallie Bowen.

Bro. Gary Norton will officiate at the services.
