MRS. SAMUEL ANDERSON
Mrs. Samuel Anderson passed away at her home in Lincoln township on Wednesday, April 12th, 1916, at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 27 days, after an extended illness.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Morgan, were held at the Nazarene church in Chariton on Saturday forenoon at 10 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Chariton cemetery.
Amanda Anderson, wife of Samuel Anderson, and daughter of James and Sophronia Stoneking, was born in Pleasant township, Lucas county, Iowa, in 1858, and nearly all her life was spent in this county.
On Easter Sunday, 1912, she was converted to Christ at a Nazarene prayer meeting and has been a faithful, praying Christian ever since.
She leaves her husband, two children, nine grandchildren and three brothers and three sisters to mourn their loss, and who will have the sympathy of many friends. She was a faithful wife, a kind mother and was loved by all who knew her.
