"Mr. Daniel Gold Lattimore, 77, of 111 London Road,Lawndale passed away on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Lattimore was born on Jan. 10, 1933, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Daniel Dobbins Lattimore and Blanche Gold Lattimore. He retired from PPG Industries as a Quality Control Engineer. He had served on the board of directors for Polkville Volunteer Fire Department and Cleveland County Water. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beth Sheppard Lattimore; two sons, Dobbin Lattimore and wife, Mary Ann, of Lawndale and David Lattimore of Boulder, Colo.; daughter, Rachel Lattimore and husband, Tony Pavel, of Washington, DC; sister, Nancy Queen of Polkville; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Lattimore.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, Feb. 14, 3 p.m., Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Scott.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 14 from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150 ."
Daniel, one of the kindest fellows one could hope to meet, was a member of Broad River Genealogical Society. We will miss him terribly.
