Clara Bernice Adams, age 70, of Austin, Texas, passed away Monday, September 30, 1996. She was born May 30, 1926, in Caldwell County, Texas.
Clara was preceded in death by her son, Larry and husband, Willie.
She was a long-time cook with the Austin Independent School District, and Austin State Hospital.
She leaves to honor her life, daughters, Virginia Adams and Beverley Hardin; son-in-law, James Hardin; sisters, Idella Harrison of San Antonio, Texas, and Etta B. Jackson of Austin; brother, Benjamin Kelly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cynthia, Cheryl and William Hardin and Tiffany Taylor.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Ulit Ave. Baptist Church, 1804 Ulit Ave., Austin, Texas. The body will lie in state 10:00 to 11:00. Pastor Reverend O.S. Davis will officiate. Interment at Capital Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by King-Tears Mortuary, Inc.
