Josiah "Joe" Harban, 89, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 13, 2007. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday October 16, 2007 at Grandview Park Baptist Church with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday evening at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Josiah was born to Gladys and Josiah in Des Moines where he remained a lifetime resident, He graduated from East High School in 1937. Josiah spent 35 years in the printing industry eventually retiring from Lennox Industries in 1984.

Josiah is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; son Marty (Carol) Harban: daughter Julie (Craig) Thorpe; brothers, Robert (Lil) Harban and Charles Harban; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Alan.
