Blanche Katherine Garmon Powell age 90, widow of Leonard Lloyd Powell of Conway, died Friday at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond KY. Blanche was a homemaker and farmer, an avid worker for her church Conway Missionary Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School, and Bible School and held many offices at church, she was also active with the Homemakers Club, and had been a 4H Leader.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Lloyd Powell, her daughter Wanda Kaye Powell, and her parents Linder Arthur and Lucy Kathryn Carter Garmon. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sisters; Ralph R. Garmon, Vernell Smith, and Lillian Garmon.
Blanche is survived by her children: Linda Williams, Brenda Powell, Rebecca (Bobby) Brandenburg, Nena Powell and Randy Powell, her grandchildren; Troy (Judy) Williams, Chad Williams, Bethany Brandenburg and Brent Brandenburg, and her great-grandchildren; Caleb, Zieben, Paisley Grace, Logan Jack, and Jonathan.
Funeral services at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Queener, and Rev. Jim Ritchey presiding. Burial will be in the Rice Cemetery at Conway. Visitation at Lakes Funeral Home.
