John T. Butler
Funeral services for John T. Butler, 69, of Sibley, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Minden with the Dr. Morris Robe officiating. Interment will follow at Woodard Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday, October 17.
Butler was born in Gibsland and died at his residence in Sibley on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jewell Butler; one daughter, Sharon Rose Butler; and two brothers, Hershall and Jeff Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Butler; four sons, Johnny Ray Butler, Lee Butler, Little John Butler, Jr. and Mike Woods; three daughters, Liz Allen, Barbara Dison and Venus Poynter; two sisters, Margie Brent and Betty Butler Speer; three brothers, Charley Butler, Junior Butler and Williebea Butler; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wade Dison, Kim Butler, Cecil Dison, Mike Woods, Steven Moss, Johnny Smith, J.D. Speer and James Ray Brent.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Wren and Guy Fussell.
