George Arnold Bakken, 77, 104 Riverside, Owatonna, died Tuesday evening at his home.
Mr. Bakken was born March 3, 1895, New Richland Township and attended rural schools. He served in World War I in France. He was a member of American Legion, VFW, World War I Barracks. He was a building contractor.

He married Eloise McGinnis October 27, 1956. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eloise; two brothers, LeRoy of Albert Lea and Marval of New Richland; and four sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Nora) Reese of Owatonna, Mrs. Milford (Lillian) Berg of New Richland, Mrs. George (Edith) Homer of Mankato, and Mrs. Russell (Adeline) Nelson of Owatonna.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Richland, with the Rev. Raymond Peterson officiating.
