Mrs. Melcena Glant died at her home opposite the Pythian Theatre on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was born March 6, 1842, and was the daughter of Harrison and Mary Ann McConnell. In September of 1861, she was married to Henry Glant with whom she resided in and about Milton ever since.
Mrs. Glant was aged 73 yrs., 2 mos, 2 days. She is survived by her husband and two sisters. The sisters are residents of Indiana. The deceased was a kind and industrious woman. She had been in ill health for the past several years, and a few months ago, fell and suffered a fracture of her shoulder.
The funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon conducted
by Rev. O.P.Furnas; interment in RIVERSIDE CEMETERY.
Mr. Glant is now critically ill having been attacked a few days ago with heart trouble and for a time it looked like he would precede his life to the grave.
