Mr. J. C. Hendrix, age 71, a resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in the De Queen Medical Center.
He was born to Buck and Effie Ella Crosnoe Hendrix at Grannis, Arkansas, on July 5, 1939. He was a former administrator of Ridgeview Nursing Home, and was retired from Tucker Appliance. He was a Baptist, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
J. C. was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dexter.
He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Wannette "Pete" Simpson Hendrix of Eagletown, Okla.; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Clareance Hendricks of De Queen, D. A. and Martha Hendrix of Dallas, Texas, Darrell Gene Hendricks, Lee and Debbie Hendrix, and Jerry Wayne and Lonie Hendricks all of Ashdown, Ark.; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Leon Klitz of Crossroads, Ark., their adopted grandchildren, Kayla Cook of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Michelle Montgomery of Broken Bow, Okla., Lacey Stovall, and James Stovall both of Redland, Okla., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26th in the West Otis Cemetery with Leon Klitz and Cy Davis, ministers officiating.
