BUCHANAN-Neil Leon Buchanan of Tofdahl Lane, Junction City, Oregon, died May 15, 1981, at the age of 82. Neil was born in Wren, Oregon, February 15, 1899. He had lived in this area all of his life. He was married to Iona R. Kendall; she survives him. The couple operated the Legion Cafe prior to World War II; owned and operated The Pine Grill and an appliance business, all in Junction City. He operated an excavation business for 20 years. Surviving besides his wife are: a cousing, Russell Taylor of Junction City; a niece, Frances Engle of Tillamook. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 1981, at 11 A.M. at Willamette Memorial, 3020 N.E. Old Salem Road, Albany, Oregon. Reverend Gilbert Knox officiating. The family suggests contributions to the Junction City Rescue Squad in his memory.
