Race Car Driver, Promoter. Born in Pennsylvania, he began racing in the 1920s, driving midget cars and was The East Region Midget Car Champion. In the 1930s, he morphed into a promoter, notably for the Hatfield and Saratoga Speedways in Pennsylvania, where his son Bobby Marshman started driving and went on to race in the 1961 Indianapolis 500 and also was the Co-Rookie Driver of the Year. In 1993, George Marshman was posthumously inducted into the Eastern Motorsport Press Association Hall of Fame.
