Ambrose Foster.
Ambrose Foster, an old and respected citizen of Evanston, died at 11:30 o'clock yesterday morning. He leaves a wife and one daughter--Mrs. David S. Vook (sic) of Evanston. The funeral services will be held at the residence at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday. The services will be conducted by Dr. R. M. Hatfield and the Rev. M. D. Hillis. Mr. Foster was for many years engaged in the lumber business in Chicago. He retired in 1866 and located in Evanston in 1868. For eleven years, he was the Village Treasurer of Evanston. He was one of the earliest members of the Presbyterian church of that village and a man of sterling integrity.
