Arthur (Junior) Bronestine, 73, of Monticello, died April 5, 1994, in his home. Born February 26, 1921, near Monticello, he was a son of Arthur C. and Esther M. Piner Bronestine. He married Ruby Dell Gruber on Dec. 26, 1941, in Durham. She survives. Mr. Bronestine attended Monticello School, was a member of Eagle Lodge, Quincy, Ill., and was of the Protestant faith. He had been a life long farmer. Other survivors include two sons, Lary J. and Randy L. Bronestine, both of Monticello; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Vera Davis of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Bernice Fishback, Mildred Schork, Louise allen and Nora Schaffer. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Canton with the Rev. Jim Croft officiating. Music was provided by Shirley Hinkle and Tony Job. Pallbearers were Brad Bronestine, Alan Morley, Doug Green, Darin Bronestine, Ron Fishback and Gary Million. Interment was in Little Mountain Cemetery at Monticello. Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice or the donor's choice.
