Lewis Watson Melone, 88, of Tulsa, passed away, August 3, 2010. Born September 16, 1921 in Tulsa to the late Lewis Galloway and Mary Lillian (Watson)Melone. He graduated from High School in Tulsa and was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. Mr Melone retired as Vice President of Pepsico Transportation. He was widely known in Tulsa as a Master Gardener, working with the Oklahoma State University Master Gardener Extension Program. He was a much sought after speaker at clubs and offering advice in all areas of gardening. He was a longtime member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ellen Melone as well as his second wife, Evelyn Lucille Melone. He is survuved by son, Roger Lewis Melone of Albuquerque, NM; two stepsons, Patrick Loving of Muskogee, OK and Michael Loving of Carlsbad, TX; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Dr. Leonard Kishner.
