IDA ELLEN JOHNSON, 92 ROCKFORD - Ida Ellen Johnson, 92, of Rockford died at 1:20 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, in Wesley Willows Care Center. Born Jan. 10, 1918, in Silver Creek, Neb., to Nels and Sigrid Elmina "Minnie" (Johnson) Olson. Married Norman C. Johnson on Oct. 14, 1939. Lifetime member of Alpine Church, former member of Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, The Buckbee Woman's Club, and the Par-Tee Golfers at Sandy Hollow. Survivors include daughter, Pamela Livingston of Rockford; son, Dr. Philip (Ryanne) Johnson of Birmingham, Ala.; sister, Alice Anderson of Rockford; grandchildren, Bruce (Luann) Livingston III of Adams, Wis., Mark (Michelle) Livingston of Morrisonville, Wis., Elizabeth (Kurt) Winkelmann of Freeport, Dr. Kathryn Johnson of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Mitchell Johnson of Birmingham, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke, Aidan, Jacob, Joshua and Ashley Livingston and Paige Winkelmann; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Norman; son-in-law, Bruce Livingston Jr.; brothers, Oscar, Albert and Elmer Olson; and sister, Berdina Beck.
