Moultrie Observer, July 20, 1939, Mrs W. T. Baldy Yields To Death, Beloved Woman Dies After Brief Illness, Was 67 Years Old
Mrs. W. T. Baldy, wife of the late W. T. Baldy, prominent Ellenton farmer, died at her home there early Thursday. Mrs. Baldy suffered a stroke of paralysis late Wednesday and passed away at seven o'clock Thursday morning.
Born in Stewart County on July 7, 1872, she was 67 years old. She had been a member of the Baptist church for more than thirty years and was interested in religious work in her community. She was a thoughtful and kind neighbor and unselfish in her devotion to her friends and family. Her sudden death carried deep regret to her host of friends.
Funeral services will be in charge of Rev. Banks Allen and Rev. W. M. Taylor. She is survived by two sons, O. W. and W. O. Baldy and two daughters. Mrs. L. S. Gray and Mrs. A. C. Baker, all of Ellenton.
