Reed's first and only known Wife was Lucy (Lucille) Mabel Myers, Daughter of Michael E. Myers and Emma Grady. Reed and Lucy were married on October 26, 1944 in Washington County, Ohio.
Lucy came into her marriage with one child, that is Robert J. Berry,, who was born about 1934 in Ohio. It needs to be noted that Robert served as a firefighter in Marietta, Ohio and died in one of that cities worst fires on record in January of 1967.
Reed and Lucy produced at least two children of which I, as their step-Granddaughter, am aware. They are:
1. Patricia Lou Berry, who was born in 1941. Patricia married Herman Howard Schmidt. She and Herman had two children together, Rita Ann Schmidt, who died as a ten-hour infant, and who is buried in Knob Cemetery in Washington County, Ohio; and Suzanne Kay Schmidt, who was born on October 5, 1967 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio.
Patricia and Herman divorced sometime in the early 1970's. Patricia remarried a few years after her divorce from Herman. Her second Husband was Charles West, Sr. Patricia died in 1988 of uterine cancer. It is not known, as of December 30, 2013, where Patricia's final resting place, if any, is.
