Remedios Lalic Calara 72, on August 6, 2010 our beloved mother Remedios passed away into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Remedios was born December 5, 1937 in the Philippines. She came to the United States in 1972 with her young family and lived in Los Angeles till 1997. She then moved to Tucson and spent her retired years in the Philippines and Tucson.

She was a devoted wife and mother who was always there for her family and friends. She worked hard throughout her life to provide for her family and was always supportive of their ambitions. Her biggest joys were her granddaughters who she cherished with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Survived by husband, Honorato Calara; son, Soliman (Cristina) Calara and granddaughter, Stephanie; daughter, Marifi (Stephen) English and granddaughters, Emily, Julia, Michelle and Sophia; son, Napoleon Calara; brother, Rev. Paul Lalic; sisters, Fortunata and Francisa Lalic; numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be Thursday, August 12, 2010, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. Burial following at Our Lady of the Desert, 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes.
