ALLIN
Sunday morning Mrs. Mattie Allin, wife of Mr. B. M. Allin, died at her home in this city, of consumption, after an illness of many weeks, aged thirty-seven years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Hudson, of this county, and was married to Mr. Allin in 1888. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Alma, a beautiful and interesting child, aged seven years, and Mattie Miller, nine months old, besides her aged parents and two brothers, Messrs. Thomas and Robert Hudson, and one sister, Mrs. Jewett McCoun. Deceased was a faithful Christian woman, had many years been a member of the First Presbyterian church, and the "Church Workers" Society, of which she was a member, honored her memory by presenting a beautiful floral offering. Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian church Tuesday morning by Dr. Hunter, the pastor, assisted by Rev. W. F. Taylor, of Providence Presbyterian church, and Rev. C. K. Marshall, of the Christian church, and the large attendance showed the high esteem in which this good woman and model mother and wife was held. The bereaved husband and other relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their great sorrow. The interment took place in Spring Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie B. Allin, wife of Mr. Buckner M. Allin, died of consumption, Sunday, 4 o'clock, A. M., at her late home, here. She was a daughter of N. B. and Martha Hudson and thirty seven years old and had been married ten years. She leaves to mourn her loss, a sadly bereaved husband, two daughters, Alma, seven years old and Mattie Miller, only nine months, her aged parents, two brothers, Messrs. T. J. and Robert Hudson and a sister, Mrs. Jewett McCoun. The deceased, for fifteen years, had been a faithful and devout member of the Presbyterian church and died as she had lived in the full hope of a Redeemer's love. Mrs. Allin proved her faith by her works and so long as she was able was active in church work. She was an honored and efficient member of the Church Workers, one of the lady societies of her church, and this society showed their esteem by a beautiful floral design that was laid on her coffin by loving hands. The deceased was a most estimable christian lady and beloved by all who know her. The funeral was conducted, Monday, 11:30 a. m., at the First Presbyterian church by her pastor, Rev. J. G. Hunter, D. D. and the intermittent was in Spring Hill cemetery. The bereaved husband and motherless children have the deepest sympathy of a host of friends.
