Raymond served as a Technician Fifth Grade, 104th Medical Battalion, 29th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Baltimore, Maryland & was a member of the Maryland National Guard prior to the war.

His National Guard unit was called into full time active Army service on February 3, 1941, prior to the war, from Towson, Maryland. He was noted, at that time, as being employed as a mechanic and also as Single, without dependents.

Raymond "Died Of Wounds" received in action during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
