Lois H. (Weatherly) Dean, 55, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in Miller's Merry Manor, Marion.

Lois was born January 20, 1955 in Marion to the late Thomas and Corean (Malone) Weatherly. She was a 1973 graduate of Marion High School. She married Allan Dean Jr. in August 1972. To this union was born two beautiful daughters, Sherita Dean, Houston Texas and Alandra Dean, Marion.

She worked at KFC for many years while accomplishing for being a cashier to a manager until her health began to fail. Lois attended Christ Temple Church from childhood to adulthood. She enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family and friends. She was also known for her "laugh" which always brought joy to others. She was a classy and beautiful lady inside and out. She was a loving wonderful "Nanny" to her grandson, Dominique Dean of Houston and granddaughter, Jay Elle Washington, Marion.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Sherita and Alandra; two grandchildren, Dominique and Jay Elle; two sisters, Delores Morrell and Deborah Weatherly, both of Marion; six brothers, Donald (Emma) Jonathon (Beverly), Daniel (Denise), Timothy (Teresa), Melvin (Pennie), and Michael Weatherly, all of Marion; a special nephew, Donald Weatherly Jr., and a close friend, Dessie Horton; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Thomas, David and Phillip Weatherly; a special aunt, Alice Weatherly.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 4, 2010 in Christ Temple Church, 1401 S. Adams Street, Marion with District Elder David H. Birchett officiating. Burial was made in Grant Memorial Park.

Casey Lloyd Funeral Home, 2901 S. Washington Street, Marion, handled the arrangements.
