Alice R. Bean, 86, was a daughter of Damon and Eva Wilkinson Schafstall. She married Ensign Claude Bean on June 13, 1944 in Pleasantville, N.J. He died May 20, 2003.
Surviving are a brother, Ron (Janet) Schafstall, Sun City West, Arizona; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Schirer and Blanche (William) Dunbar, both of Bloomington and Ruby Bean, Nashville, Tennessee; 20 nieces and nephews, including David (Donna) Schirer, Mahomet; Pamela Bean Payne, East Peoria; Charlotte "Vicki" Bye, Bloomington; Brenda (Mark) Butcher, Rochester and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ensign Derle L. Schafstall, who was killed in action in October 1943 while serving in the U.S. Naval Air Corps.
