"Walter C. Blair Sr....was a Baptist Missionary who loved children. He was a Director of Child Evangelism in the Austin area for many years and was known by all as a man who always put others first before himself. In the mid 1930's he was one of seven men recognized and awarded the Carnegie Hero Medal for saving a man's life. Mr. Blair was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy Louise Blair...."
