ALEXANDER RITES FRIDAY MORNING. William (Bert) Alexander, 85, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson Nursing Home.....Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery. Born June 16, 1875, in Fairfield, son of ANDREW C. and MARTHA S. KNIGHT ALEXANDER. For many years he lived with a sister, Mary, at 705 S. Seventh. He had been a custodian at the Jefferson County Hospital, for the late Dr. J. Fred Clarke, and at the First Christian Church. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. He was the last member of the immediate family.
