born June 19, 1925 to Hans and Jessie (VanLaningham) Bebensee on a farm four miles northeast of Elk Creek, Ne. She was baptized at the Baptist church north of Elk Creee. While living on the farm, she attended the Long branch country school. After the death of her father in 1937, the family moved to Elk Cree where she attended the Methodist church. She also went to Elk Creek High School, graduating in 1942. During 1944 and 1945, she was employed at the Martin Bomber Plant in Omaha, NE.
In 1946, she returned to Elk Creek and began working for the Bank of Elk Creek.
On Dec. 8. 1946 she was united in marriage to Eldon A. Baucke of Elk Creek at St.John's Lutheran Church in Tecuseh, NE. The couple remained in Elk Creek, where Eve continued her position at the bank, with which she has since been employed a total of 35 years.
She was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran church of El Creek i n 1968. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary and was involved with many activities and functions of the Elk Creek Community. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and being outdoors. She was more than willing to help a friend or neighbor and always thought of others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother and infant daughter.
She is survived by her husband, Eldon, 2 children, Randy and Nancy, sister, Mrs. Herman (Velma)Kuhl of Lincoln brother lorain Bebensee of Table Rock and one granddaughter.
