JAMES MATHIS BARLOW was wounded in the BATTLE OF ATLANTA. July 28,1864/Shot in the right leg. His Unit surrendered at CITRONELLA,ALABAMA/May 4,1866.
He was parolled at GRENADA,MS on May 20,1866. January 6,1870-Married MARTHA JANE ROACH. They were the parents of 3 children.
After Martha's death, James married MARY H. COFFMAN WORTHAM on December 2, 1876.
James was married twice. First to Martha Jane Roach and second to Mary H. Coffman Wortham. James and Martha had three children, two son and a daughter. James and Mary Coffman had one son, John Barlow.
Martha and Mary H. Coffman Wortham are buried in this cemetery.
