IN MEMORIAM,

Jean S. (Stenner) Francini, 75 a long time resident Plainville passed away peacefully on Thursday July 8, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Francini with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born on July 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Griffin) Stenner.

Jean grew up in Plainville and graduated from Plainville High School. She met and married the love of her life Albert and together they started a family. Jean devoted her life to taking caring of the children especially her special needs son John. She also took care of numerous family members over the years and her home was always open to helping others. She always wanted what was best for the family and made any sacrifice to achieve that. Her perseverance and strong will got her through the tough times and provided the strength to her family to overcome all obstacles. She had a special place in her heart for animals and her two pets brought her so much joy over the years. Jean enjoyed going to the casinos with her family in her free time. She loved to sew Raggedy Ann dolls and quilts for all family members. For those who knew Jean, she was never afraid to share what was on her mind. She will truly be missed by all those who knew her.

She leaves her loving children Jeanette Francini, Joseph Francini, Joyce Kamuf and her husband Don, and Albert Francini and his wife Cathy; her grandchildren Sarah, Kristen, Nicholas Paigo, and Matthew and Kevin Mercure; her great-grandchild Whitney Turney; her sisters Glennis Roberts, Trudy Bird and her husband Ray, Patricia Deloy and her husband Charles; her caregivers Michael and Maggie Canseco and their daughter Sarah along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John Francini along with 3 brothers and a sister.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Jerome Home especially Maria and Marie for their care and support.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 4 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2 – 4 pm. prior to the service. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jean's name to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, 12 Charter Oak Place, Hartford, CT 06106 and The Petit Family Foundation, P.O. Box 310, Plainville, CT 06062.
