A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Mevelia "Nee Nee" Boudreaux, 82, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at the church.Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
She was the mother of Norman Boudreaux and Madeline Boudreaux DeBartolo. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Boudreaux; parents, Pierre and Clorinda Guidry Cheramie; a son. Julian Leroy Boudreaux; two brothers, Camely and Camile Cheramie, and six sisters, Anesia Esponge, Leonia Williams, Clamence Terrebonne, Azelia Bradberry, Cesla Vizier and Ozite Cheramie.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.
