Allan Ray Deem, 59, of P O Box 268, Augusta, WV.,formerly of Jessup Md., died Monday in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr Deem was born June 3, 1934, in Newcumberland, Ohio, the son of Ralph Deem and Madeline Bibby. He owned and operated Al's Greenhouse in Slanesville, WV.,and a produce market in Laurel, MD. He was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Jessup, Slanesville Volunteer Fire Company, American Legion Post 137, Capon Bridge, WV., and Panhandle Sams RV Club.
He was married to LaRue A. Cooley.
Surviving with his wife and his mother of Jessup, are two sons, Dean German, of Romney, WV., and Donald German of Severn, MD; three brothers, Richard Deem of Baltimore, Ronald Deem of Annapolis, and Carrol Deem of Oakland, MD., three sisters, Lois Barry of Catonsville, MD., Diane Cave of Laurel, MD., and Sue Granville of Omaha, Neb., six grandchildren; one great grandson. A son, Dale German, is deceased.
A funeral will be at 11:00 am, Friday in Donaldson Funeral Home, Laurel. Burial will be in Meadowbridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, MD.
The family will recieve friends from 2-4 and 7-9 today at McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV., and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Donaldson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
