Funeral services for Beryl McCarty Taylor, 72, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2002 at the Beech Creek Baptist Church near Olla, La. with the Rev. Michael Green and Rev. Bobby Cruse officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2002 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home and 12 noon until service time Saturday at the Beech Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Taylor entered into rest Thursday, October 31, 2002 in Olla, La. after a short illness.

She had been a resident of Benton, La. for the last 12 years and a member of the Cypress Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wiston and Minnie McCarty; husband, Louis Marvin Taylor; son, James W. Taylor and a brother, Arlos McCarty.

Survivors include a son, Gary W. Taylor and wife Karlene of Olla; two daughters, Diann Mitchell and husband Dave of Haughton, La. and Brenda Norton and husband Howard of Benton; one brother, Howard Aubrey McCarty and wife Pauline of Olla; special friends, Frances Goodrich and Mary Weaver; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Pallbearers will be her nephews Howard L. McCarty, Randy McCarty, Herman McCarty, Sherman McCarty, Terry McCarty, and Wiston Burl "Pete" McCarty.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Dale McGinty for his special care.
