Monetta Cloud, 75, of 1538 Edge St., Piqua, died at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 25, 1934, in Lee County, Va., to the late Robert and Goldie (Witt) Cole. She married Benson Cloud on March 8, 1951, in Jonesville, Va.; he preceded her in death June 4, 1996.

Survivors include a son, Roy Lee Cloud of Piqua; three daughters, Jeanette (Robert) Maxon, Mildred (James) Sheats, Katherine (Christopher) Garner all of Piqua; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willard (Betty) Cole of Covington and Dillard Ray (Florence) Cole; and three sisters, Lasula (Louis) Nimety of Piqua, Gay (Arthur) Bowser of Lena and Mary Ella Nimety of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

Mrs. Cloud had worked at the former Dettmer Hospital in the dietary and housekeeping departments as a supervisor.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, with the Rev. Willard Cole officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
