Served with Co. C 1st Nevada Vol. Cav. from his enlistment on July 5th 1863 until His Death on Sept. 24th 1864 of Chronic Diarrhea, He was Buried in the Fort Cemetery and that's were he Lay forgotten until Feb. 1885 when all 44 Buried there were reintrred and moved To The Grand Arny Of The Republic Gen. Custer Post No.5 Section of the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City Nevada. Now the original Wooden Markers were used as Fire wood by some Local Ranchers from 1870-85 The Graves had no markers so not know who was who they were all given new Stone Markers that read "US Soldier." The Attached photo is Courtesy of The State of Nevada Archives and I wish to thank them for letting me copy it for find a grave.
