Frances lived on a farm in Mesa with her family and helped with many farm chores. Frances graduated from Tempe Normal School (later Arizona State University)and started her teaching career in Nogales, AZ. In 1936, Frances was fatally injured in an automobile accident on the Nogales Highway which took place while returning home with a friend after attending a football game in Tucson, AZ. Frances, so pretty and young, had just begun her second year of teaching when her death occurred at such a young age.
