She was born June 4, 1972, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Bill and Patricia Bean Porter. She married Christopher Eilers on July 12, 2003, in Eugene.
She held a bachelor of arts degree in English and a master's degree in education. She worked as a teacher and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Leo of Eugene; a daughter, Eva Ann Eilers of Eugene; her parents; grandmother Jane Bean; and two sisters, Wendy Schmitz and Avery Hughes.
