Landon "Denzil" Adams, 71, of Benton died Monday, July 5, 2010, at 8:40 a.m. at Lourdes hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Mr. Adams served his country in the U.S. Army. He was born in Magee, Mo. He was a welder and owner/operator of the Glass Connection in Benton.
He is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Michael (Mason) Adams; two daughters, Rhonda Phelps, husband Floyd of Jackson, Mo., and Dede Vervynck and husband Ron of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; seven sons, Dr. Joshua Adams and wife Stephanie of Benton, Ky., Landon Adams and wife Karen of Sedalia, Mo., Johnny Adams and wife Karen of Percy, Ill., Kim Allen Adams of Kansas City, Mo., Lauden Adams of Kansas City, Mo., Matt Adams of St. Louis, Mo., Jeff Adams and wife Debbie of Sharpe, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Adams is also survived by three sisters, Bernice Savage of Bakersfield, Calif., Wanda Ford of Hillsboro, Mo., and Ellie Lavigne of Hillsboro, Mo.; special friends Tammy Hopper and Hunter Smith; and also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Marie (Tedder) Adams; his father, Lauden Adams; his mother, Beulah (Poole) Adams; one sister, Jeri Hoxworth; one daughter, Regina Adams; and twin grandsons.
