According to the death certificate, Ollie was the daughter of Silas Ashby and Martha Ellen Sparrow. She was a widow and died of paralysis.

Obituary:
Mrs. Ollie Ann Greer, 74, died Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. I.B. Rucker on Pea Ridge.

Mrs. Greer was the widow of Tom G. Greer, who died six years ago. She was a native of Anderson County and a daughter of the late Silas and Martha Sparrow Ashby. Mrs. Greer was a member of Carrithers' Chapel Church and held the love and respect of all because of her kind and unassuming manner.

Surviving are five children, Wallace Greer, Cecilia, Mrs. Naomi Sweasy, Louisville; Wilford T. Greer of Brooks; Walter D. Greer, Jeffersonville, Ind.; and Mrs. Monnie Rucker, Waddy, Rt.1; two brothers, Henry Ashby, Shelby County; and Edgar Ashby, Louisville; a sister, Miss Tella Whitehouse, Camp Taylor; twenty-two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted yesterday at 2 pm at Green's Chapel by the Rev. L. M. Hamilton, pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
