Abraham Arganbright was a native of the Buckeye State, and was born March 20, 1822. In the home of his birth he still resides, being interested in agricultural pursuits, which has been his lifelong occupation. Politically, he is a Democrat, and has held minor offices within the __ of his party in Ohio. He married, in early life, Miss Susanna Tweed, who was born Oct. 2, 1820, in Ross County, Ohio. She closed her eyes to the scenes of earth in 1876, when about fifty-six years of age. Her parents were Jesse and Rachael (Hickson) Tweed, both of whom were natives of Virginia, whence they removed to Ohio at an early day. Mr. Tweed was by occupation a blacksmith, and died in the buckeye State when seventy years of age. His wife survived to the age of eighty-one years.

A family of eleven children was born to the parents of our subject, who are named as follows: Sylvester, Jesse, Mahlon, Mary, Martha, Emeline, Henry, Sarah, Elting, and two who died in infancy. Henry died when twenty-three years of age, and Martha at the age of thirty.

Additional notes: Abraham's death was recorded on page "A", Vol. 3 of the record of deaths in 1908, at McArthur, Ohio (the county seat of Vinton County) and was recorded in the Probate Division, court of Common Pleas. His place of birth was identified as Jackson (Jackson County) Ohio; his occupation was a farmer; his last place of residence was "Gillespieville", Ohio (now called Londonderry); and his age at the time of his death was 85 yrs, 2 month, and 15 days. After the death of his first wife he married Elizabeth Simmons. They had one son, who died young.
