'Final Rites for Joe M. Rodgers Held Monday'

Funeral services for Joe Martin Rodgers of Detroit, 74, who died at 4:15 o'clock
Sunday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. T.L. Floyd, 290 South
Twenty-fifth Street, Paris, were held at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the
Baptist Church of Detroit. The Rev. T.W. Mathis, Baptist minister, conducted
the service. Burial was at the Detroit Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chester Arnold, Martin Arnold, Emmett Jones, Gaither Rodgers,
Morris Rodgers and Lindsay Wright.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Othela Rodgers; four sons, Willie Rodgers of
Blossom, Lonnie Rodgers of Detroit, Bennie Rodgers of Breckenridge, and Erbie
Rodgers of Gladewater; a foster son, Leo Rodgers; six daughters, Mrs. Maudie
Gibson and Mrs. Mamie Gibson of Detroit, Mrs. Audie Scott of Fulbright, Mrs.
Ocie Floyd of Paris, Mrs. Elsie Billips of Detroit and Mrs. Beatrice Kinnimer of
Broadway.
