JESUP - Ed Daves, 87, died Thursday, March 3, 1995, at his residence in Jesup after a long iillness. He was born Gilmer Co., GA, and had lived in Wayne County since 1911. He was a Baptist and the retired owner of Daves First Street Grocery Store in Jesup.
Mr. Daves is survived by two daughters, Betty Hargrove of Jesup, Ga. and Eddris Smith of Brunswick, Ga,; Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., March 5, 1994, at the Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Livesay officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Harry Mathis, Allen Hayes, Don Hayes, Mark Elliott, Wayne Williams, and Larry Odum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 4, 1994.
Burial will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home of Jesup, Georgia.
