Born March 22, 1934, in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late George Wesley Crosby and the late Hazel Ruby Hiott Crosby.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and will be fondly remembered for being a good southern cook.
Surviving are: her husband of fifty years, Eddie Lionel Bennett; two sons, Christian Edward Bennett of Travelers Rest and Paul Erwin Bennett and wife Jan of Walterboro; a daughter, Gloria Beth Bennett Bridge and husband John, Sr. of Walterboro; two brothers, O. J. Crosby and John Crosby both of Walterboro; and two sisters, Inez Johns of Lodge and Ruth Nichols of Parkersburg, WV; eight grandchildren, Phillip Bennett, Adam Bennett, Barry Bennett and wife Sheena, Michelle Bennett, Kayla Bennett, John Bridge, Jr., JoAnna Bridge and Tiffany Sullivan and husband Rusty; as well as six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allie Marique Bennett.
Interment was in Live Oak Cemetery.
