Mrs. Ocie L. Brittian, 105 of 602 East Depot St. passed away on Sunday at her home.

Ocie L. Brittian was born July 19, 1904 the daughter of the late Alonza and Ida Mae Burton in Harris County.

Mrs. Brittian joined Roe's Chapel UMC at an early age and was an active member of the church choir until her health declined.

She was co-founder of the LaGrange Chapter of the Rochelle Federated Women Organization, co-founder of the Golden Age Social Club and a member of the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include: loving daughters and caregivers Ellen Burton, Clara Moore, two sons; Henry Ray and John Ray, Jr. all of LaGrange, one brother Eddie Burton of Chicago, Il., seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Addis Brittian, one son Albert Burton, one daughter Dorothy B. Thornton, four brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1pm at Warren Temple UMC with the Elder Janice T. Hill presiding, Rev. W.C. Thornton, eulogist and Rev. Julian Warner, pastor Roe's Chapel UMC.

The interment will be in Southview cemetery.

A wake service will be held on Friday at Roe's Chapel UMC at 6:00pm-8:00pm.

The family will receive friends at her home.

A service entrusted to Mackey-Wilson-Jennings Funeral Home.
