CORA JANET CLIFT
MRS. CORA JANET CLIFT, wife of J.G. CLIFT, died at the home of her daughter MRS.
ELMER JOHNS Wednesday night after a short illness. Funeral services were held at
the Bulcher church Thursday afternoon by Rev. J. CALVIN DENNIS and SHELBY WEST.
Interment was in the Coker cemetery arranged by Scott Bros. Mrs. Clift was born
July 22, 1856 in Cape Jersey, Missouri, daughter of CHARLES and ELIZABETH
HARRIS. She joined in the Methodist Church in 1873 at the Oakland Church in
Hopkins County, Texas. Most of her life was spent in the Bulcher community. She
is survived by her husband, J. G. CLIFT, four daughters, MRS. J. H. JONES, MRS.
LEE POTEET, MRS. GEORGE PARKHILL and MRS. ELMER JOHNS and one son W. J. CLIFT.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
