NEW SPRINGFIELD – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Brendans Church for Marcella L. Scheetz Chuey, 92, of formerly of Hereford Lane Farm, North Jackson.
Mrs. Chuey was born Oct. 4, 1917, in Youngstown, to the late Alexander J. and Margarette Crum Scheetz.
At 16, she started to work as a live in maid for the C. G. Watson. In 1959 she became head caterer for Watson's Hereford Lane Lodge in North Jackson from which she retired in 1977.
Her husband, Joseph F. Chuey Jr., whom she married April 20, 1940, preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 1995.
Mrs. Chuey leaves two sons, Carl F. of New Springfield with whom she made her home, and James J. of North Lima; a grandson, Matthew C. Chuey of New Springfield; and a sister, Stella Erb of Seville.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her six brothers, Martin, Clayton, Theodore, Elmer, Robert and Carl Scheetz; and two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Kaiser and Mrs. Alma Rentsch Kennedy.
There are no calling hours.
Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
